Our Projects
What if Indiana was an even cooler state?
You can help make it happen.
Our Newest Treehouse
The elaborate Pop Top treehouse is the crown jewel of Lost River Hostel, our flagship location in West Baden Springs, Indiana. As we continue to provide a sandbox for goals and growth through nature and human connection, this marvel draws many people in to spend time with their thoughts and ambitions, adding an extra flavor of wonder and inspiration.
Funding for this new project will go toward materials, our design professionals, and government compliance to make a beautiful and safe experience for all who visit.
Accessibility Features
In the rolling forests of southern Indiana, nature doesn’t always make things easy to get to. We are currently building an accessibility ramp and accessible restrooms connected to The University to ensure that more people are able to participate in our educational programs, events, and other magic that Lost River Foundation has to offer.
Donations will go toward materials and design professionals needed to complete the job.
Directioneering Scholarship Fund
With over 100 graduates since its inception in 2017, the Directioneering workshop is a crucible leading to genuine discovery and change. This all-day workshop brings together 4-6 participants to take measurable steps toward their next big leap in life, examining roadblocks and finding solutions to get unstuck along the way.
We are currently scheduling our 2024 sessions in Indianapolis, Louisville, Evansville, West Baden Springs, and virtually.
Donations to this program go to our scholarship fund to include students who may not otherwise be able to afford this transformational experience.
Volunteer Matching Software
Many volunteer networks either cater to the aggressively needy or larger, impersonal organizations. The Momentum Initiative is building a private database and playing matchmaker to fill in the gaps - connecting volunteers with forward-thinkers across Southern Indiana and metropolitan areas like Louisville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Evansville, and Bloomington that fall outside these categories.
Our current funding initiatives will allow us to purchase software to make this process much more effective and connect more volunteers to more projects.
