The initiative: A volunteer matching program acting as a give-a-penny-take-a-penny jar for those who believe in an economy of giving.

Our reach: Our network spans Southern Indiana and surrounding major metro areas like Louisville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Evansville, and Bloomington.

Who is involved: Those who believing in lending a helping hand where they can, and those who need one.

How it works: We play matchmaker with those in the private database. When we see a match, we will ask those on the serving side if it’s okay to share their contact information with those who have projects.

What you're committing to: Nothing at first. When both sides connect, it will be up to you to see if it’s a good fit for everyone. If you do, you’ll set your own goals and objectives. For those leading projects, we’re asking that they are the type of projects you will be working on WITH the volunteers, side by side - not from a distance.

How to judge if the project match is a good fit: After each match is made, when people work together we will ask for feedback afterward about how worthwhile the projects were and how valuable/reliable the helpers were. We’ll share that feedback with the next connections that are made so you can hear how it went for the last people!

Why this is different than other volunteer networks: Many networks focus specifically in two areas - assisting mature nonprofits and/or establishing direct connection to those who are in tough life situations. We are looking to serve the space between those two, helping people and projects that are more focused on growth than survival.
